• No account creation: Our game does not require you to create an account, sign up, or log in.
• No payment information: TruthOrDare.fun is completely free and does not process any financial transactions.

What We Do Collect

• Session storage data: We use your browser's session storage to save your current game state (such as selected category, player names entered during a session, and game progress). This data exists only in your browser and is automatically cleared when you close the tab or browser.
• Anonymous analytics data: Through Google Analytics, we collect anonymized usage data such as page views, session duration, device type, and general geographic region. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
• Advertising data: Google AdSense and its partners may collect cookie identifiers, IP address, device and browser information, and pages viewed in order to show and measure ads. See Advertising Cookies below for details and opt-out options.

Cookie Consent

When you first visit TruthOrDare.fun, you will see a cookie consent banner at the bottom of the page that lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Outside the United States, analytics cookies are only set after you accept. We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to TruthOrDare.fun and/or other sites on the Internet. Where the law requires consent (such as in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), these cookies are only used as permitted by your choices in our consent message; if you do not consent, Google may still show non-personalized or limited ads, which rely on less data.

We do not show ads on our kids and family pages, or on our age-restricted (18+) pages. When the Kids or Teens question pack is played in our main game, we switch off analytics cookies and ask Google to show only non-personalized ads for the rest of that visit.

Consent Preference Cookie

We store your cookie consent preference (cookieConsent) in your browser's local storage. This is a simple text value (either "granted" or "denied") that remembers your choice so the consent banner does not appear on every visit. This data never leaves your device.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized data about website traffic and user behavior. This helps us understand which features are popular, how users navigate our site, and where we can make improvements. Google AdSense

TruthOrDare.fun uses Google AdSense, an advertising service provided by Google LLC, to display ads that help keep the site free. Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, limit how often you see an ad, and detect ad fraud. Fonts

Our heading font (Fredoka One) is served from our own website, and body text uses your device’s built-in fonts, so loading our pages sends no font requests to Google or any other font service.

Cloudflare and browser push services (notifications only)

If you turn on notifications, your push subscription is stored with Cloudflare, which runs the small service we use to send them. Notifications are delivered by your browser maker’s push service (Google for Chrome, Mozilla for Firefox, Apple for Safari, Microsoft for Edge), under that company’s privacy policy. If you never turn on notifications, neither is used.

Our Android App

Truth or Dare Online is also available as an Android app on Google Play (package fun.truthordare.twa). The app opens this website in Chrome as a Trusted Web Activity, so everything in this policy applies to it in the same way: the same cookie choice, the same Google Analytics and Google AdSense, and the same optional notifications.

The app asks for one Android permission, notifications, and only uses it if you turn notifications on. It does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone or files, and it has no accounts. The app is for ages 13 and up: it does not show the 18+ and 21+ packs or the kids pack. Uninstalling the app, or clearing Chrome’s site data for truthordare.fun, removes everything it stored on your device.

Children's Privacy

TruthOrDare.fun takes children's privacy seriously. Our website is designed to be enjoyed by users of all ages, including children, with age-appropriate game modes available.

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under the age of 13. Since our game does not require account creation or the submission of any personal data, children can safely play without any personal information being collected. Our kids and teens pages never set analytics cookies, even if you accepted cookies elsewhere on the site. When the Kids or Teens pack is played in our main game, analytics cookies are switched off and any further ads are requested as non-personalized for the rest of that visit.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has somehow provided personal information through our site, please contact us and we will take steps to remove that information promptly.

Data Storage

All game data on TruthOrDare.fun is stored locally in your browser. We do not maintain any server-side databases that store user-specific game information.

• Session storage: Your game state (current category, player names, game progress) is stored in your browser's session storage and is automatically deleted when you close the browser tab.
• Local storage: Certain preferences (such as theme settings or previously acknowledged age gates) may be saved in your browser's local storage for convenience. This data never leaves your device.
• Question ratings: If you rate a question after finishing it (Too easy, Fun or Too much), the rating is saved in your browser's local storage and sent to Google Analytics as an anonymous event with the question's ID, so we can improve our questions. No personal information is included, and no analytics cookies are used if you declined.
• Notifications (optional): If you turn on notifications (the 🔔 bell at the top of the page, or “Notify me” after a game) and allow them in your browser, your browser gives us a push subscription: a random address at your browser’s push service (for example Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft) plus encryption keys. We store it with Cloudflare, together with the site name, a topic and the date, and use it only to send TruthOrDare.fun notifications, at most one a week. It contains no name, email address or IP address. Tap the bell and choose “Turn off”, or block notifications for this site in your browser settings, and we stop sending; subscriptions that a browser reports as expired are deleted automatically. Notifications are never offered in Kids or Teens mode.
• Shared question packs: When you send your own questions to friends as a link, the questions travel inside the link itself. We do not store them on any server.
• No other server-side storage: Apart from optional notification subscriptions, we do not store game data, user preferences, or personal information on our servers. Everything else stays on your device.

Your Rights

You have full control over the data stored on your device and the tracking services used on our website.

How to Clear Your Data

• Clear session storage: Simply close the browser tab or window. All session data is automatically deleted.
• Clear local storage: Open your browser's settings, navigate to site data or storage settings, find TruthOrDare.fun, and clear the stored data. Alternatively, use your browser's "Clear browsing data" feature.
• Clear cookies: You can delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.

How to Opt Out of Tracking

• Google Analytics: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data, or choose Decline under Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.
• Personalized ads: You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info (US) or www.youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
• Do Not Track: There is no common standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, so our site and our advertising partners do not currently change their behavior in response to them. Use the consent and opt-out options above instead.
